Google Deploys AI-Powered SOC Agents and Launches Wiz AI-APP Platform at Cloud Next '26

Google has unveiled an AI-powered cybersecurity platform combining its Threat Intelligence and Security Operations with Wiz's cloud security stack. Its own SOC agents now triage tens of thousands of threat reports monthly cutting mitigation time by over 90%.

At Google Cloud Next '26, one of the most substantial enterprise security announcements in recent years wasn't framed as a standalone product launch, but rather as a combination of Google's threat intelligence and security operations capabilities with the cloud security and AI technology from Wiz, integrated into a single, AI-powered end-to-end cybersecurity stack.

Enterprise security leaders will want to pay close attention to this development because the next generation of security operations is no longer going to be aided by AI, it will be run by AI.

Google + Wiz: A Unified AI Security Platform

Google Cloud today introduced a new AI-powered cybersecurity solution that pairs Google's Threat Intelligence and Security Operations capabilities with the Wiz Cloud Security Platform. This new solution, which Google is calling Google Cloud Cyberware, pairs Google's decades of knowledge about the global threat landscape, as gained through its vast networks, with Wiz's cloud security platform that is designed to continuously monitor and secure workloads across multicloud and hybrid cloud environments.

With Splunk Enterprise Security, customers can create a security stack that allows them to detect, investigate and respond to security threats across cloud, AI, and other diverse workloads and environments from a single user interface and operational model.

As part of this platform integration, Google is also announcing the release of Wiz's AI Application Protection Platform (AI-APP). Wiz AI-APP is a new solution that provides autonomous protection for applications from code to cloud to runtime, across multicloud, hybrid, and AI-native environments. With enterprises in the GCC and worldwide rapidly accelerating the deployment of AI models into production, the attack surface is growing, and current application security tools are ill-equipped to handle the challenge. Wiz's AI-APP safeguards AI applications and their models by protecting the data pipelines and runtime behaviors, all at once.

But for security operations teams there's an even more pressing signal. Google's Security Operations Center is today leveraging AI agents to automatically triage unstructured threat reports. Processing tens of thousands of such inputs each month, the organization is reducing threat mitigation time by more than 90%.

Aside from Google's aforementioned foray into the AI and machine learning arena with Gemini, the company has seemingly diverged into using such tools in the form of AI driven software agents such as CodeMender — which identified a batch of critical vulnerabilities in popular software and proceeded to automatically fix the majority of them. But a key aspect of most security tools is that they detect flaws but then send the task of fixing them over to a human. Not so with this latest endeavor.

The announcements come as MENA security leaders are dealing with a rapidly changing threat landscape. According to KPMG's Cybersecurity Considerations 2026, enterprise security priorities this year include protecting AI systems, managing non-human identities, managing risk to the supply chain and governing autonomous security agents. Organisations across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the wider Gulf are facing growing demand to ensure cloud and security, as well as AI-specific protections, are properly managed – particularly where data and workloads are sitting across multicloud or distributed hybrid cloud environments. Alternatively, they are serving up AI-specific workloads and infrastructure across hybrid environments. For many, the decision to ensure the right balance of cloud security and AI-specific protections is no longer a consideration for the future, but rather something they are grappling with as part of current procurement processes.

Alongside the Gemini neural network interface, Google Cloud introduced an agentic enterprise platform for the broader portfolio of applications and services that it supports for its customers. This new platform has important implications for security governance, since managing thousands of AI 'agents' requires more than just monitoring and auditing their activities: enterprises need the ability to govern them. To fill this need, Google is launching the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, its mission control for what it's calling the agentic enterprise.

The Broader Signal

For enterprise security leaders, Cloud Next '26 highlighted a pivotal transition in the security industry: autonomous AI agents will be the operators of the security stack. We see this future in real-world results, exemplified by Google's 90%-plus reduction in SOC mitigation time achieved with the use of agentic AI at scale.
