TrendAI Launches in the UAE as Trend Micro Repositions for the Enterprise AI Security Era
Trend Micro has officially launched TrendAI in the UAE, rebranding its enterprise cybersecurity division to reflect AI as the central threat and defence layer, as 67% of organisations report pressure to deploy AI despite unresolved security concerns.

Trend Micro has officially launched TrendAI in the UAE, marking the regional debut of its rebranded enterprise cybersecurity identity and signalling a strategic repositioning of the company toward AI as the defining layer of enterprise security. The brand was revealed on Ain Dubai, as part of a launch event timed to the country's accelerating national AI ambitions.
The UAE has moved faster than most governments on artificial intelligence. As the first country globally to appoint a Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, and with industry projections suggesting AI could contribute approximately 14 per cent of national GDP by 2030, equivalent to around $96 billion, the country represents a critical market for vendors repositioning around AI-native security. TrendAI's launch is a direct response to that environment.
Research underpinning the launch highlights a significant governance tension inside enterprise organisations. A global study of 3,700 business and IT decision-makers found that 67 per cent of organisations had felt pressured to approve AI deployment despite unresolved security concerns, while 57 per cent indicated that AI is advancing faster than they are able to secure it. More than four in ten organisations identified AI agents accessing sensitive data as their most significant emerging risk, and nearly a third reported lacking adequate observability or auditability over these systems. For the UAE's enterprise sector, these figures reflect a challenge that is both global and acutely local: AI adoption is happening at pace, and governance is not keeping up.
TrendAI's positioning addresses this directly. At the core of its offering is TrendAI Vision One, a unified cybersecurity platform built around cyber risk exposure management and security operations, designed to protect what the company describes as the full AI lifecycle, from infrastructure through models to end users. The platform is backed by threat intelligence that the company says processes hundreds of millions of threats daily, supported by 6,000 specialists across 75 countries.
Salah Suleiman, Managing Director for South Gulf at TrendAI, said that as businesses accelerate AI adoption to drive growth and competitiveness, security and governance must evolve at the same pace. He described TrendAI's capabilities as bringing together cybersecurity expertise and AI-driven tools to help enterprises innovate with confidence while maintaining full visibility and control over emerging AI risks.
The company has also strengthened its ecosystem partnerships to support the UAE launch. S-RM, a global cyber risk advisory firm, will focus on post-breach response and long-term resilience. A collaboration with HackerVerse will deliver independent adversarial testing using autonomous AI agents for continuous, real-world validation of detection capabilities. These sit alongside new initiatives including the TrendAI AI Security Brief podcast and the TrendAI Spark global events programme.
The launch comes at a moment when the region is sharpening its regulatory and institutional approach to cybersecurity. The UAE's National Cybersecurity Strategy provides the governance architecture within which enterprises are expected to operate, and the UAE Government Cybersecurity Summit held earlier this month in Abu Dhabi reaffirmed the scale of the challenge, with the country absorbing between 600,000 and 800,000 breach attempts every single day. For enterprise security leaders operating in this environment, the arrival of a vendor explicitly built around AI security governance is a meaningful development in the regional market.
